Grammar
Verb to the end: datt, well, wann
After datt (that), well (because), wann (when / if) and similar words, the verb moves to the end of the clause. A comma separates the clauses.
"fir … ze" + infinitive expresses purpose: Ech léieren Lëtzebuergesch, fir eng Plaz ze fannen.
- Ech mengen, datt hie muer kënnt. — I think that he is coming tomorrow.
- Ech bleiwen doheem, well ech krank sinn. — I am staying home because I am ill.
