Grammar

Twenty-one is "one-and-twenty"

From 21 upwards, say the unit first, then "an" (and), then the ten, all as one word: eenanzwanzeg (21), zweeandrësseg (32), fënnefavéierzeg (45, the n of "an" drops before v), nénganonzeg (99).

Hundreds and thousands come first: honnertdräianzwanzeg (123), zweedausend (2000).

  • Ech sinn dräianzwanzeg Joer al. — I am 23 years old.
  • Dat kascht zéng Euro. — That costs ten euros.
