Greet people, introduce yourself, order a coffee and count.

1. The alphabet and sounds — D'Alphabet
   Learn the letters from A to Z by ear, and the spellings whose sounds an English reader does not expect.

   The words you will use every single day in Luxembourg: greeting, thanking, saying yes and no.

   Say who you are, where you are from and where you live. Meet the two most important verbs: sinn (to be) and hunn (to have).

   Count to a thousand, say your age and understand prices.

   Make an appointment: the days of the week, the months, and telling the time.
6. Conjugating a verb — Verben konjugéieren
   Six persons, three endings, and two verbs that do their own thing. Once you can conjugate wunnen, you can conjugate most verbs in the language.

   Talk about the people closest to you, and describe things by colour. Also: my, your, his, her.

   Go beyond the basic eight colours: orange, pink, purple, beige, gold and silver, and the word for colour itself.

   Say what you do for a living, name common jobs and talk about your working hours.

    Order food and drink politely, ask for the bill, and meet a few national dishes.

    Book a table, ask for the menu and the bill, order a meal and name the food you buy.
