Grammar
The article "den" and the Eifel rule
The masculine article is "den". It keeps its n before vowels and before d, t, z, n, h; otherwise it becomes "de". So: den Dënschdeg, den Donneschdeg, den Owend — but de Méindeg, de Freideg, de Samschdeg.
Feminine and neuter nouns, and all plurals, take "d'": d'Woch, d'Joer, d'Deeg.
Half hours point forward
"hallwer" + the coming hour: hallwer eent is 12:30, hallwer aacht is 7:30. Quarters use "op" (past) and "vir" (to).
