Describe your day, find your way, talk about the past and the weather.

1. My day — Mäin Dag
   Describe a normal day with regular verbs in the present tense, times of day and how often you do things.
2. Around town — An der Stad
   Ask the way, understand directions and use public transport, which is free across the whole country.
3. Weather and seasons — D'Wieder
   Small talk about the weather, the four seasons and what to wear.
4. Talking about yesterday — Gëschter
   The perfect tense: what you did, where you went and what you ate, with hunn or sinn plus a participle.
5. Can, must, want — Kënnen, mussen, wëllen
   The modal verbs let you ask for help, make polite requests and say what you must or want to do.
6. Numbers: ordinals, prices and big numbers — Zuelen, Datumen a Präisser
   First, second, third: say the order of things and the date. Read prices in euros and cents, and numbers from hundreds up to millions.
7. Shopping and clothes — Butteker a Kleeder
   Go shopping: name the shops and the clothes, say whether something fits or is too small, and pay by card or in cash. You also meet the sales, discounts and the words for cheap and expensive.
8. Travel and transport — Rees a Verkéier
   Get around: tickets, platforms and timetables, the bus, the train and the plane, a delay, and the words you need to follow or give directions on the road.
9. Hobbies and free time — Fräizäit a Spaass
   Talk about what you do in your free time: sport, music, films and walks. Say what you like and what you prefer, and invite someone to join you or to a party.
10. Describing a person and a home — Eng Persoun an eng Wunneng beschreiwen
    Say what a person looks like and describe the rooms of a flat or a house.
